Legal Disclaimer
By placing an order, buyer authorizes seller to act on buyer’s behalf in arranging for transportation of the wine at buyer’s direction. Alternatively, buyer may choose to pick up the wine at seller’s location, or make independent shipping arrangements. For wine picked up at the seller’s location, sales tax will be applied based on that location.
Shipping Terms and Conditions
Legal Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Truchard Vineyards. Alcoholic beverages require the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated) at the time of delivery; please take this into account when choosing your delivery address. Wines purchased from Truchard Vineyards are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Shipping Policy
Prices of our wines do not include shipping/handling charges, the cost of which varies depending on destination, number of bottles ordered and choice of delivery options.
Our default shipping service is UPS Ground. At the time of checkout you will have the option to select certain expedited UPS delivery services, such as 2-day or Overnight Air. Please note that order processing can take 5-7 business days to ship out from our third party fulfillment location. In certain cases, such as extreme weather, we may delay your shipment in order to avoid the risk of damage during shipping. Customers are responsible for additional shipping costs on missed deliveries.
Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity and does not like extremes of temperature: hot, humid summer and cold winter weather can adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. For this reason, we may contact you after you have placed your order to discuss shipping options that are safe for your wine. For example, if you are trying to ship wine to Florida in August and selected ground shipping, we would contact you to advise that the summer heat in that part of the country might result in your wine being damaged during shipment, and suggesting that you either upgrade to overnight shipping or that we hold your wine until the weather has cooled down. You may choose not to take our advice, but at that point we will not be responsible for the condition of your wine upon its arrival.
